I already talked about deciding to do more travelling on a budget (smaller trips) as we save money and journey to be debt free next year! So far it’s worked out great!
We got to visit my wonderful family in NJ last weekend for Memorial Weekend and enjoy part of our mini vacation at the beach where I used to always visit on vacations as a child, Stone Harbor (favorite beach ever) and of course we HAD to make a trip to the boardwalk in Ocean City.
Ocean City just has that atmosphere, the one where the air feels hot and sticky, sand everywhere, noise, busy families crowding the shops, overpriced food that tastes SOOO good… (I’m not gonna lie, we used a lot our budget on food) haha! Then comes the cool sea breeze and the beach looks so pretty as the sun goes down! I just love it and always have. We used to visit in the summer when we came on vacation here from Ireland so it holds so many wonderful family memories that only grew when sweet Peter asked me to be his wife on the beach by Ocean City boardwalk in 2013.
It’s always so much fun being reunited with ‘my Holly’, a wonderful cousin and close friend. We have always been so close and it’s been so nice to be able to see her more than just once a year now 🙂 It was so cool getting to see her kids grow up and be able to all spend time together. (it was Holly + her hubby, Dan that brought me to the christian music festival i met pete at back in 2010) needless to say it was incredible to all be back together!! 🙂
Anyway without any more boring writing, here is a little snippet from our little trip to NJ 🙂
