I am convinced I have two of the worlds greatest, sweetest grandparents. A couple weeks ago I shared my vacation back to visit family in NJ with my sweet hubs. We had an amazing time catching up with family and getting to visit my lovely Momom and Popop.
These two generous, loving people have been encouragers and inspiration since I can remember. They have always been so genuinely interested in what we were doing in our lives, where we wanted to go and always made it a priority to listen how we were emotionally. They shared their faith, their stories and always had laughs.
Their health has been declining for quite some time now which has been so hard to watch. They were so involved in all of their grandkids lives, it’s hard to watch as they struggle adjusting to this ‘new way of life’ but God is still using them- he is not finished with them yet. It never ceases to amaze me at the patience, understanding and grace they have every day. I don’t get to see them much anymore but when I do, its the best feeling ever.
I remember when we used to visit them on vacation back when we were living in Ireland. Every single night before bed, they would say a prayer together for all their children and grandchildren. They were specific too. They were intentional about their prayer life and their walk with Christ- so inspiring.
I am so thankful to have these two lovebirds and influences in my life. It’s amazing to watch their legacy spill out on their children and grandchildren and to see that God is still using them in incredible ways.
Here is a few snaps of them from our most recent visit to see them from a few weeks ago.
