For the past few years I have been dying to create my own styled bridal shoot. Where local vendors all come together and ‘help’ one another out by providing their awesome services, advertise each other’s business all while building and perhaps growing some wonderful friendships!
I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina almost a year ago and it has been one giant move… I still feel like I am adjusting and finding my new clientele in a brand new market, so a styled shoot was the perfect way to really launch myself out here and mingle with some local vendors.
The vendors we worked with were Aaaamazing- no really, they were the best! I personally recommend every last one of them which is why i used who i did! The folks behind this shoot really helped to make this happen and have a heart and passion for what they do- i love that! Way too many of us are losing our passion for life and family and relationships.
The week leading up to the shoot was odd weather… there was HOT, sunny days followed with COLD, rainy ones. As I checked my weather app frantically (as all us photographers do leading up to a shoot) I hoped we would get at least 15mins or so of dry weather so we could really take advantage of the beautiful venue we were using inside and out.
A few hours before the shoot it was raining and looked plain old dull outside. We arrived at the venue early and began setting up.
A HUGE shoutout to our friend Nick from Carolina Wedding Films for coming early to help with our set up, he was a big help and we appreciated it so much! Also thank you to all of the vendors for being awesome at communicating with me throughout the planning process and showing up there on time if not early! 🙂
I LOVED setting everything up, it was sort of like planning and styling my own wedding… kinda.
The models arrived and the rain seemed to be holding off (yay) we started shooting. The day honestly could not have been better and the venue and it’s staff were absolutely wonderful!
Our models were phenomenal too… literally so natural at everything! Thanks to you both for your time and bracing the cold for all the pictures, you guys are troopers!
Anywho, without further to do- here it is, my first ever styled bridal shoot and a list of the wonderful vendors who made this happen! Definitely go check them out!
